Os EUA enfrentaram a seleção da Espanha no seu último jogo e Kobe observou o irmão de Gasol, Marc e comentou um pouco sobre o jogador.

"Pensando bem deveriamos ter mantido Marc. Talvez não fosse necessário trocá-lo para obter Pau Gasol." Disse Kobe
